A 43P-140 usually came with a GXT110P (low-end,256 colours,$1), A GXT2000P will also work, has 24bit gfx. |

| so far, cheapest GXT110P I have found is 75 bucks. kind of steep for a 256 color basic graphics card... will the 43P-140 run off a serial terminal for a console? Multiply this by 1.2 or so and you have it in $. There's currently a GXT120P on auction, but with 35 Euro a bit steep. If you want to spend real money for real stuff, get yourself a 10-pack of GXT4000's for a total of 1200 Euro :-) http://cgi.ebay.de/10-Stk-IBM-2826-G...14253589QQcate egoryZ65573QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem > kind of steep for a 256 color basic graphics card... will the 43P-140 > run off a serial terminal for a console? I would expect that, but it is less fun. |

Yes, like every RS/6000. But ASCII graphics only ;-) You can use X11 xdmcp for remote display on a headless machine with serial console. -- Uli |
