Default H50 and lpar?

Hello,

well, I am almost sure that it's not possible, but just to ask:
Can I do lpar with a H50?

Thanks,
Mike

Unfortunately, no.

You need SMP POWER4 or POWER5-based servers for LPAR capabilities.

H50 is old -- it is based on the PowerPC 604e, which was before even POWER2.

It is also extremely heavy, too. :-) We have one H50 and four H70. Ouch!
