Default HACMP event notification to errpt

Hi,

I need to configure event notification on HACMP 5.3 to be sent to errpt,
for example event like node_down to be reported as entry in errpt on
surviving node.

Custom Remote Notification Method works fine for me for e-mail
notification, but what about errpt? Any ideas?

Thanx in advance for help...

JG

Hi,

please read the manual:

Customizing notification when you configure the cluster is a good
preventive measure.

See Chapter 7 in the Planning and Installation Guide for complete
information on customizing and setting up notification of cluster events.

See Chapter 15 in the Planning and Installation Guide for information on
using AIX 5L Error Notification, and for information on setting up
automatic notification for hardware errors that do not cause cluster events.

Using the HACMP Automatic Error Notification SMIT panels, you can turn
on automatic error notification for selected hard, non-recoverable error
types: disk, disk adapter, and SP switch adapter errors. All disks
defined as HACMP resources, and disks in the rootvg and HACMP
volume groups and filesystems are included.

You may want to set up error notification for certain media or temporary
errors. You may also want to customize the error notification for some
devices rather than using one of the two automatic error notification
methods.
