| Hello World, I need more space. On my RS/6000 F50. However, my supplier only has titchy 9GB disks at the price I'm willing to pay, and I want MORE!!!1! So I though of using one^Wtwo of these things: http://www.addonics.com/products/io/ide_scsi.asp It's basically a small print that fits on the back of a (nice big) IDE harddisk, and turns it into a SCSI disk. I would have to dismantle two of my current 9GB disks to do this. I'm sure IBM CEs turn pale when you show it to them, like when you suggest using third-party memory in your P5 systems, but I think It Should Work(tm). Has anyone in this august group ever done such a thing? Cheers, Menno |
