instructions for samba 3.x with Winbind and ADS on AIX 5.1 anyone?

hi!
i've been trying to compile this thing for about a week now, to no
avail.

gettext is compiled and installed
libiconv is compiled and installed
MIT kerberos is compiled and installed
openldap is compiled and installed

the ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/samba-3.0.14a --with-ldap
--with-ads --with-winbind --with-krb5=/usr/local/krb5
--with-libiconv=/usr/local/libiconv

works ok, but i get some LD errors when i run the make. things compile
ok during the make, its only when it comes to linking that it bombs
out:

Ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .error_message
Ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: .build_options

what does that mean?

has anyone ever had this working? i would like to run winbind with ADS
to allow people to use samba shares with their active directory
accounts.

any help would be greatly appreciated!
