Default LVM Error

I have a server wih AIX 52 . The are two disks in the server and only
rootvg in it which is not mirrored as well. Both the disks are added
into rootvg . hdisk0 is showing DISK OPERATION ERROR in the error log
and also there are no PPs free in that . The hdisk1 which of same size
to hdisk0 has 80% free.
The major problem is many of the LVM commands are not working . I could
give
lsvg rootvg
lsvg -p rootvg
lspv

But i am not able to give many commands like
lspv -l hdisk0
0516-070 : LVM system call found an unaccountable
internal error.

which prompted me to have a look into the ODM.When i gave
lqueryvg -p hdisk0
256

.. Finally i got to the root cause the the disk error has effected the
/tmp. The /tmp has gone corrupted .

Will the mirroring of the /tmp lv will solve this problem out ?

Could anybody help out ?

If it had been with the ODM i will not be able to retrieve the info
from lqueryvg -p hdisk0
and lqueryvg -p hdisk1. And also the /tmp will not give i/o error.
