After I install ML 06 on a base 5.2 system, oslevel is still showing
5200-00 instead of 5200-06. Why is the maint not taking?

Use 'instfix -ciqk 5200-06_AIX_ML | grep ":-:"' to see what filesets are
down level.

I was able to find a 5200-04 install set. I've installed...now I'm
having problems mounting the CDROM?!?

I saw on IBM's website that if you got from any version to -04, there
are interim fixes. I might try to apply -06 from my -04 install now.

Try oslevel -qr and see what you get; oslevel -rl show the filesets
below/less than the highest.

The instfix commands work also...they just require a bit more extra
flags (and "stuff" <G>).

I installed 5200-04 and updated to ML-06 and it is now showing correct
oslevel -r. thanks.
