Default move pgp on aix question?

Hello all...

We use pgp version 6.5.8 command line version in our applications on
our AIX server. We also have a second AIX server to use as a disaster
recovery box should the primary fail. So far our quick migration
process works well with ONE exception. We need to move the root
keyring from the backup of the first machine to the second so our
incoming files can be decrypted.

Our encryption is accessed using SUDO so it is performed as root and
therefore the pgp files seem to be stored in the /.pgp directory.

My question is this: How can one "MOVE/COPY" the proper keyring to
the second machine so it will function assuming pgp is already
installed on the second machine?

We've tried backing up the /.pgp directory and restoring it on the
second which seems to go well and when we display our keyring it all
appears to be there. But the pass phrase doesn't seem to be accepted.

Any suggesions?

Thanks

Yes. Ask in the PGP group.

Doing AIX support was the most monty-pythonesque
activity available at the time.
Eagerly awaiting my thin chocolat mint.
