Wondering if Nessus works on the AIX platform? If not, what would be the
best port scanning and vulnerability test tools in the AIX? Are they open
source?

AIX, like most if not all UNIXy systems, is POSIX compliant.

The Nessus compiles and works on any
POSIX systems, such as:
· FreeBSD
· GNU/Linux
· NetBSD
· Solaris

Did anyone have used it in AIX before? Do I need to install the Nessus on
an AIX box to run the port scanning? Can I install on a Windows to test AIX
boxes?
