Default Netcom smartmodem 56
Hi Gys,
i have set up the above modem on to an AIX box and successfully dials in but
you don't get the login prompt to get on to a AIX system. i have enabled
the login through smit and Devices file but I have noticed that the CD light
does not come on.
The problem also when you connect to the modem it does not echo your
commands even though you do type in ate1 - I've tried proceeding with AT&C2
and save it with AT&W, unfortnately the light still does not come on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, I've run out of my own : )
