Default Newbie - User add failure


Logged in as root and received the following error when executing
useradd.
And the directory /home/userid exists


Command executed:
useradd -u 1004 -g db2iadm1 -G db2iadm1 -m -d /home/userid userid

Error:
3004-692 Error changing "pgrp" to "db2iadm1" : Value is invalid.

Try the standard AIX command: mkuser id=1004 pgrp=db2iadm1 userid
Be user db2iadm1 group exists before trying the user creation. ...
and, New users are locked out for login until the first password
assignment.

Create the group "db2iadm1" before creating the user. You can't add a
user to a group that doesn't exist.
