Default NIM and spot

Hi all,
I'm new to Aix and I am trying to understand how NIM works. I didn't
understand why I need to create spot when I want to perform only
updates ?why lpp_source is not enough ?I apreciate if somenone could
explain in details this process.

Best regards,
Iulian

Sorry about the last post...in the search field at the top left, type
"Defining a SPOT resource" and it'll take you to a page that defines
the purpose of SPOT.
