| Hi, We are using ASM on AIX5.3 Lpar's. We have plans to implement Virtual I/O on our 570 LPAR systems which are connected to an EMC DMX SAN. However, a technician from IBM told us that VIO can not be used with Oracle ASM, because ASM uses the first 512 bytes of the harddisk, this first block is also used by AIX to store the PVID. Q: Is this true, does VIO need the PVID in order to work ?. |
