Default p520 won't boot

hey all,
we have an old p520 that was gathering dust in storage, decided to
try to salvage it and put it on the network... i tried to boot it up
and console in... got the console connection working, but it only goes
to what looks like the SMS login prompt...
--so--
tried all the default user/passwd combo's:
admin/admin
general/general
abc123
passw0rd
EVERYTHING
no luck!
--so--
removed the Service Processor & took the battery out... for several
hours
tried again, no luck
reset the toggle switch, & rebooted, several times... no luck.
--so--
considering that i've reset the SP, toggled the toggle switch, removed
the battery, and its STILL not accepting any default passwords...
WTF?!?!
anybody have any ideas???
god bless good old over-engineered, bugged out, IBM systems... i mean,
on the one hand, i'm sort of glad IBM stuff NEVER seems to just work
like its supposed to, or lots of us would be out of a job... but... it
DOES get old, constantly running into stuff like this.

thanks in advance.
-P

btw... where has "Dan the Man" been? haven't seen him post in awhile

What devices does the sms bootlist find? Is there even an OS
installed? Can you boot off CD/DVD into maintenance mode?

hey,
1. remove the Service Processor Board
2. search for the dip switch on the SP Board which have two positions
3. move the dip switch to the second position
4. know should be able to login in with
userid : admin
password : admin
