No, it is a Brand... its one of IBM's 5 H/W Brands ... iSeries,
pSeries, zSeries, xSeries and Storage Solutions ...

i == integration
p == performance
z == enterprise class
x == x86/intel architecture

interesting enough you didn't use the marketing explanation:

z == zero downtime

Seems you got in touch with one of those boxes once ;-)

"brag", as pronounced in the Far-East ;-)

In UK-English slang, it is a common reference - to "steal", "con" or other
similar nefarious activity.

Good luck with the job search. I've taken over a system based
on not too much background with AIX from a guy who had no background
and spent 9 years trying to fake it without troubling to do any
reading. With support, and a little hustle, you can learn stuff
quickly enough, but the one thing you don't want to do is take a job
where you're going to be made to look dumb. You tell the interviewer
you don't have the experience but you are willing to learn, and if
that's what they want, you're in good shape.

I got my current job last year and I had used AIX in my last job before
that for a few months and then before that I hadn't used it since
96-99.

I was just upfront, saying, sorry, havent touched it in ages, I have
vague memories which I am sure will be awoken when I behold the evil
that is ACHES, but I have been a network jockey the past few years
mainly.

Needless to say they hired me and sent me on some training and I am
back in the saddle, so to speak.

Don't lie, you will get caught. There is always someone smarter than
you and they will see.
