| I'm running AIX ver 4.3 and 5.2 and we are using CDE. It appears the inittab file starts CDE with the following line: dt:2:wait:/etc/rc.dt > /dev/null 2>&1. The console has been redirected to send all messages to a file called /tmp/console.out. When I look at the file, there is a plethora of repeating messages: ************************************************** *************************** * * Suspending Desktop Login... * * Press [Enter] for a login prompt. * * Log in. Desktop Login will resume shortly after you log out. * ************************************************** *************************** ************************************************** *************************** * * Resuming Desktop Login... * ************************************************** *************************** Does anyone know how to stop these messages, besides turning off the line in the inittab file? I looked at the /etc/rc.dt file but couldn't find any reference to the above message. Any help is appreciated. TIA |
