| "Hans-Christian Waldmann" published: [...] Dear Sir: Your signature is over-sized. Anything over 4 lines is not permitted on the Usenet. It is also obviously complete horseshit. You would not be asking these questions if your signature was truthful. Seems likely to me that you are wanting this advice for the purposes of spamming. Mend your ways. You have been reported to abuse. PLEASE DO NOT HELP THIS PERSON |

To me it was a legitimate (and ON-TOPIC) question, unlike your remark. Now kindly cluck off, before I extract your gibblets, and shove a large seasoned onion between the lips you never kiss with. | Followups should be directed to an _appropriate_ newsgroup, not to the newsgroup that one just happens to be reading. PB> Says some anonymous dude with an nonexisting email-address... Actually, to "comp.mail.misc" regulars, he isn't anonymous at all. There's only one person here (in that newsgroup) who: * has strange idiosyncratic ideas about what signatures are and aren't "allowed"; * accuses practically everyone who posts of "spamming"; * has the sort of warped thinking whereby if someone doesn't know how to drive an MUA then they obviously cannot possibly be a doctor in Methodology & Applied Statistics in Psychology & the Health Sciences; * posts his articles with "*.news.pas.earthlink.net." message IDs; * takes steps to hide the name of his mailbox, whilst asserting that only the malicious do that; and * claims to report people to abuse mailboxes and the FBI (including reporting the "W32/Swen.A@mm" Microsoft Worm to the FBI, claiming that it was in fact the action of someone called "Sam"). |

To me, this sounds like a good sense of humor To the original poster - there always is AT&T metamail, too. Regards, Florian |
