| I ended up having to call IBM and even though I don't have a support contract, they helped me anyway. It turns out it has to do with the serial connection I am using instead of an ascii terminal. I guess AIX is set up to expect a terminal. In maint mode I had to export my terminal to vt100, the go into smitty to change tty settings for tty0. You should change the STTY attributes for run time and login to both include "clocal" at the end of the list. (Mine already had clocal for login). Press enter to finish with changes and then reboot. After reboot it asked me for my terminal type, which I chose vt100, then it went into an installation menu. Once I was done with that, I was given my login like normal and everything is good. I hope this helps everyone else!!! -- Posted via http://dbforums.com |
