| Fellow AIX'ers; Here's a strange one I cannot seem to put my finger on. We have an F50 running 5.1 ML04 that has been running for literally years. We boot only occasionally (every 2-3 months or longer). For the past 2-3 reboots when the system comes back up and tcpip is running our network comms still doen't work. We verify that inetd and other tcpip daemons are running (ps -e) and the ONLY way we can get comms working is to run tcp.clean to shut down the network daemons, then rmdevl -l ent0 -d followed by redefining the ent0 device and adding the gate and way static routes. Then and only then does the network comms begin to function. What's strange is that this has only been necessary in the past 2-3 reboots. Before that there was never a problem. Has anyone every seen this situation before? If so any pointers on where or what to look for? TIA Bob |
