Default "refreshing" LUN size

AIX 5.2
Fastt600 (DS4300)

Hello,

I have increased LUN size in Storage Manager 8.4 (to 2GB).
But the hdisk still seems to have old size:

lsattr -El hdisk17
..
..
size 1280
..
..

I have tried cfgmgr.
Is it possible to make it without "rmdev" ?

regards

Kmet

Hello

Take a look at "chvg -g" command.

P.W.

You need 2 steps:

varyonvg yourvg (yes, even if it is already varied on)

and

chvg -g yourvg

OK, I did it.

Generally all is ok.
I have new Free PV on hdisk and i have successfully increased fs.
But
lsattr -El hdisk4 still shows old size.

Is it possible to fix it without rebooting ? (in case it helps)

What i have done :

1. unmount all filesystems on vg
2. increase LUN in storage manager
3. varyon myvg -> it shows that one of my disk increased.
4. chvg -g myvg -> OK
5. increase fs - OK

an then I have tried:
varyon
varyoff
cfgmgr -i hdisk

but lsattr still shows old size...

any ideas ?

regards

Marcin
