| Hi, We are currently running Oracle Applications 11.0.3 under AIX 4.3.3. This version of OA is not supported to run under 5L and as we really don't wish to upgrade to OA 11i, the annoucement of the end of support AIX 4.3.3 by IBM is pretty much of a very bad news to us. Does anyone know of any company that would offer an alternative ES support for AIX 4.3.3 ? Fabrice |

| Contact your BP, or IBM representative, I have heart there is a way to contract a special support for AIX V4.3.3 after 12/03. Maybe someone has a good definition of what "end of support" or "End of life" means if we are on one of these revs? I know people still on 3.2.5 and everything is hunky dorey thanks! |

Of course, you have to pay their prices Regards, Ian |

End of support means they will not produce new fixes unless you have paid for an extended support contract. They will however direct you to a fix if you have a known problem, but they will not pursue a new 'bug' unless you have paid for the extended support. No other company can offer the extended support as IBM wil not make their code freely available for other companies to fix. See the ongoing SCO v IBM battle. |
