| i have time difference gap between database server and application server. our system engineers advised us the following 1) a file /etc/ntp.conf with entries as below driftfile /etc/ntp.drift tracefile /etc/ntp.trace server abc with a "more /etc/ntp.drift" giving -22.791 0 basically, we use smit to pull the time together and it works. but what is the purpose of the above files. thanks |

Do some Googling to read up about it. Steve |
