 Upgrading $Universe from 4.3.0 to 5 keeping configuration It seems that Orsyp's $Universe v5.0 documentation only deals with new installations. What for a migration from 4.3.0 to 5.0 in AIX 4.3.3.10 environment! Did anybody already experienced such an upgrade ? Can I save the current configuration and reimport it after the product upgrade ? And how ? Regards      |

Errr... You're quite late, we started on 5.0 two years ago. We migrated from Autosys, so I don't have first-hand experience. The regular way of upgrading would be to add a second company and to simply extract all 4.3.0 objects and to insert them into 5.0. There have been few bugs, so check after inserting, that: - No UProcs are locked - No nomodel tasks are 'disabled' (happens!) - Rules still okay - Uprocs with internal CL do have a corresponding file script.000 in $UXLEX - General tables and all that internal stuff is functioning If You need more info, please PM me or simply ask Orsyp, as this group is not the right place for discussion just because Orsyp isn't willing to open a newsgroup themselves.
