Default WebShpereV5.1 Clustering wihout Network Deployment

Hi,

Just wondering has anyone successfully manage to cluster 2 WAS (Based
version) server without using the Network Deployment Manager. Is it
possible to play around with the plugin file used by IHS. If the
switch is smart enouch to detect that the primary WAS server is down,
how can the IHS knows how to redirect the traffic to the secondary WAS
server?

TIA

The plugin, if properly configured, will do the clustering, with or
without ND. But things like advanced session management and a few HA
features from ND will be lost.

Hi,

What do you mean by "properly configured". What are the things that I need to
take note off. Thanks to advise.

I've been away for a few days... if you still need this info, please
advise and I'll get it for you as I really don't know it by heart.

You can find the required information in

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoce...sv_plugin.html

You will need to configure a ServerCluster.

I'm afraid that at the moment I don't have a working file with me.
During the week I will try to get one for you.
