is my 4.3.3 box is stubborn? I try the following:

diag
task selection
format media

then hit enter for all my old ESS disks that I want to format (wipe
some of the data on them) and then hit F7 for commit and nothing
happens. any ideas?

Why not just remove 'some' of the data with the 'rm' command?
If you want to format, that would remove 'all' of the data, AFAIK.
