Hello,

I there anyone who has a WINE binary package for AIX 4.x available?

I am not sure if it will even compile with XLC....

I think WINE only works on Intel machines.

Perhaps you should look at VNC:

Actually I have worked with VNC before ;-)

I was looking for a solution for running simple W32 code on a local AIX box.
Sorry, I didn't know about the Intel restriction, but it makes sense.

I once saw some kind of Intel CPU Card that could be plugged into a PCI slot
I think...
Sorry I can't say more about it. Does anyone know about this?

Technically, it works fine. Building with xlc did require some minor
changes to the sourcecode the last time I checked it out, but at least
it compiles without too much hassle.
Beware: It's dog slow, even on a 300 MHz Bull Estrella. Plain DOS
works ok, but Leenucks or FreeBSD are hardly useable. Can't say any-
thing about Windows9x, though.
