| I am trying to perform a telnet connect (via XEmacs) to the serial console port of the IBM pSeries 630 system. All I get on the XEmacs telnet screen is Ctrl-G (^G) character when I press enter. I guess this is the bell character. I tried messing around with the default environ of the telnet session, by changing the TERM to vt100 and the TERMCAP. Nothing worked. But when the connect via xterm shell telnet, it works fine. By-the-way, I am using XEmacs version 21.4.15; February 2004. Thanks for any help! |
