| I recently installed OpenBSD 3.4 from CD on a Dell Lattitude CPx and ran into a problem that has been posted on several of the lists before (misc and tech). The problem is that the kernel sees the card during boot, but will not configure it. The specific DMESG is : "Linksys, Etherfast 10&100 + 56k PCCard (PCMLM56)" (manufacturer 0x143, product 0xc0ab) at pcmcia1 function 0 not configured I have seen on several older posts from OpenBSD 2.5 that there may be a way to configure the card from source in the /sys/dev/pcmcia/pcmciadevs and if_ne_pcmcia.c files, but cannot find a way to get the source installed without a network connection. Searching through the newer posts, FAQ, and other materials has not given me any clear solutions. My question is: Is there a way to get this card working, and if so, how can it be done without a network connection? Please bare in mind that any DMESG output will have to be hand-copied. Also, the DMESG output appears to be exactly the same as in the post from a previous post. As I am not sure if this list will allow URLs, here is a snip of the last part: <-- Taken from post to misc mailing list by Jay <xentekjc@atienza.dhs.org> on 2000/07/23 --> pcmcia0: CIS version PCMCIA 2.0 or 2.1 pcmcia0: CIS info: Linksys, EtherFast 10&100 + 56K PC Card (PCMLM56) pcmcia0: Manufacturer code 0x143, product 0xc0ab pcmcia0: function 0: multi-function, ccr addr ffe0 mask 67 pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 3: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2f8-2ff 300-31f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 5: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 3e8-3ef 300-31f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 7: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2e8-2ef 300-31f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 9: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2f8-2ff 320-33f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 11: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 3e8-3ef 320-33f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 13: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2e8-2ef 320-33f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 15: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2f8-2ff 340-35f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 17: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 3e8-3ef 340-35f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 19: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2e8-2ef 340-35f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 21: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2f8-2ff 220-23f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 23: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 3e8-3ef 220-23f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 25: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2e8-2ef 220-23f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio pcmcia0: function 0, config table entry 27: I/O card; irq mask 9e38; iomask a, iospace 2f8-2ff 240-24f; rdybsy_active io8 io16 irqshare irqpulse irqlevel powerdown audio "Linksys, EtherFast 10&100 + 56K PC Card (PCMLM56)" (manufacturer 0x143, product 0xc0ab) at pcmcia0 function 0 not configured <-- End Snip --> Thanks in advance for any help, advice, websites, etc. that you can give.
