| Hello, A new version of my Default Configuration patch and a new generic.mp kernel are now available at http://sigcafe.net/openbsd This time the patch gets the irq mappings (almost) right, pci cards that share the same interrupt as an isa card causes panics My test system is currently smoking perl 5.9.2 and no problems have appeared (yet). Changes 1. Used wrong string for MCA oops 2. Do not setup the APIC's it is already done 3. use constants for the default_io_apic structure 4. change apic id to match 1:1 with the cpu id 5. use the ELCR register on PCI systems to setup the interrupt types ( level/edge ) 6. first stab at knf ( I know it is not good yet ) Problems left 1. cpuid detection is still broken, detects 386sx... 2. pci/isa interrupt sharing, panic: apic_intr_establish: intr 10 can't share level-triggered with edge-triggered It looks like pnp isa cards somehow mess things up, needs to be checked Have the appropriate amount of fun testing this patch |
