This mail list is a PUBLIC mail list...any one in the entire world can subscribe, can post anything (like "you" did), and publicly available archives will catch and hold these postings...forever. Including the one you just sent. The archives are generally "write only" -- not managed by the people who manage this list, and scattered around the world. You need to contact EACH AND EVERY ONE, and beg to have that message removed. Most mail list archives have a policy of /never/ removing a posting. You managed to find two references, there are MANY more. Plus hundreds, maybe thousands of people have personal archives. Further, there is no evidence that *you* have ANYTHING to do with this original poster, and thus, you will have difficulty proving that you have any right to even request that this posting be removed. You punched your name in to google to see if you were famous. You are. Congrats, your wish has been granted Curious link here: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/.../msg00226.html Your best bet: Quit sending e-mails to people you don't know, you are just burying yourself deeper and deeper. You have managed to bring back to memory a bizarre posting that most of us had long ago forgotten, something most of us assumed was some bizarre form of spam or a scam, and just ignored. Now, you have managed to put yourself back in the spotlight. Give your computer back to your parents, tell them you aren't responsible enough to use it. There's more than one city called "Milford" your name isn't such an unusual name, just say, "wasn't me", or tell people you were working with the FBI to flush out pedophiles. Nick. |
