boot -c

Disable ACPI, and APM.
Continue.

look at the dmesg, and the point where it locks up, there may be another item
that needs disabling.

if it breaks into ddb, then readup on ddb basics, and give more info.

Even having the Partial dmesg would help, but that requires typing since you
don't have a serial port or filesystem to send the output to.
