Even though I was one of those who started this, I agree that a patch
like this needs testing - and you are doing the testing right.
Eventually, I expect we will get feedback from people who have run with
this patch for some time and on multiple architectures, then it will
probably hit -current after 3.7 where more people will get to see it
working.
