| I'm no kung fu expert, but think there's 4 ways to see it: 1. restrict root account to be able to chdir out of '/', root will be forced to use full URL. 2. take '.' out the PATH, root will be forced to use full URL. 3. put '.' in the PATH at the end, you expose yourself to kinky apps like sl. (comment: "Just don't chdir in '/tmp'") 4. put '.' in the PATH at the beginning, you expose yourself to illusions. My personal opinion, if that matters, is that root should be forced feed the cli with full URL.
