| Hi, Anyone knows if there is a utility to check audio file integrity? I just installed the CVS version of Sweep (audio editor). Runs great... except some of my audio files (mp3, ogg) will only play (in XMMS, Noatun, ...) but not load in Sweep, where I get an error message that the file is corrupt. Something similar happens sometimes when I try to burn an audio compilation with K3B. Some of the files I can listen to... but I can't burn them. Cheers, Niki Kovacs -- I'm not as think as you stoned I am. |

Some of the files I can listen to... but I can't burn them. As a general rule of thumb you may just try to standardize them with a 'sox funnyformat.wot fairfmt.wow', using required extensions or parms at your best. Many soundfiles are infested with "extended" headers really *very* personal to the makers of the sound mastering client they promote, no surprise as you can easily guess they just mimic ancient bad habits of tagging the ir names on errand ballies they just found out on a corner while decimating the true creators of the previous found they turned on to a pail of ashes. Er, just use the first paragraph ;-) And if any trouble maybe posting a link to the pieces that fuss some of your apps would be a good start for further investigation. Have an ice daze, lak you saih, am nu drone az ye thizz gloo stun ;-) |
