Hello!

OK, I've managed to install Slackware 12.0 on a VMware virtual machine.
It boots fine using the 'huge' kernel but I cannot boot with the
'generic' kernel.
I've made an initrd image with the following command:

mkinitrd -c -k 2.6.21.5-smp -m sg:mptbase:mptspi:mptscsih:dm-mirror:dm-
multipath:ext3 -f ext3 -r /dev/md0

Thanks a lot for your answer, but it doesn't help, it refers to an older
version of vmware (I'm using version 6.0) and an older version of Linux
kernel, in fact I *can* boot without problems with the 'huge' kernel but
I'm not able to boot with the 'generic' kernel and an initrd image.

sorry dieymir, I'm using server version of vmware and for make install
of Slack-12 I have put my recompiled kernel (whith small patch for LSI)
on cd, so I boot with vmvare.s. If you can install hugesmp.s is ok,
later you can recompile your kernel with just the fiew driver required
by vmware guest.
