Default capturing image

How would I capture a still image from a Video4Linux device
I'm currently running slackware 9.0 zipslack edition
which was moved over to a ext3 partition.
The device which I want to capture is a usb webcam.
I would like to do this from the command line so I can add it
to a hourly cron job
Thanks
Jeremiah

Default Re: capturing image

Try videodog. sorry I can't find the URL but google it. It is reasonable
good. I got some video from an old camcorder and captured images via v4l
like that. Not bad. Can't compare it with ieee1394 though.

cheers
