I'm running Gnome, and Postfix instead of Sendmail, but I still start in
RL3 and only startx to surf or read mail.

Oh, and vim.

Um.... Where is Al and Dan? Shouldn't they be swearing up and down
through this thread about now?

well that's good. right but I am just an spectator. I do not get involved
much .... but thanks but no thanks though ....

I just enjoy watching others battle it out ....

Thanks for the replies, including the later ones which ran off the rails.
I have followed the above advice but still not solved the problem. Any
further help would be appreciated.

Same here, although I do sometimes use Pan to post to Usenet. Currently
using Gware Gnome, but plan to go back to Freerock when 11.0 is
released. VIM does indeed rule.

I'm here, and Fluffy is on a 6-month vacation from a.o.l.s., which just
started a couple of days ago. Should be a good winter.
