| Hi all, I used Ghost 7.5 to do a disk to disk copy of - 60GB seagate hard drive ( redhat linux 7.3 ) - into a blank 60GB WD hard drive but the cloned drive won't boot into linux but just hang in the beginning. Any one had tried clone a redhat drive? does it have to be exact same drive inorder to clone? does powerquest driveimage works too? thx -cm |

You might like to try asking in a Red Hat newsgroup or on a Red Hat mailing list, or even in a generic Linux newsgroup. Very few people here care that Red Hat doesn't work; we're Slackware users. -- Simon <simon@no-dns-yet.org.uk> **** GPG: F4A23C69 "We demand rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty." - Douglas Adams |

What exactly do you get on the screen before it stops? Shawn |

Why are you asking us? Many of us either don't know or don't care about Ghost or RedHat. You're likely to get better answers in a Ghost and/or RedHat forum. - --keith - -- kkeller-mmmspam@wombat.san-francisco.ca.us (try just my userid to email me) AOLSFAQ=http://wombat.san-francisco.ca.us/cgi-bin/fom -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iEYEARECAAYFAj8/HgoACgkQhVcNCxZ5ID94FQCdEE8vVZqx868m0jAdnd1WaqQu +/MAn1S2WioUqbY6sCwn7OUbmXz4SgQh =anCr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
