| Hi, if you run slackware-current and do the upgrade to lilo-22.8-i486-1 you will need to load the dm-mod kernel module before running lilo in order to prevent you from a sequence of error messages: # modprobe dm-mod # lilo Without dm-mod you will see: # lilo /proc/misc: No entry for device-mapper found Is device-mapper driver missing from kernel? Failure to communicate with kernel device-mapper driver. /proc/misc: No entry for device-mapper found Is device-mapper driver missing from kernel? Failure to communicate with kernel device-mapper driver. Incompatible libdevmapper 1.02.09 (2006-08-15)(compat) and kernel driver Added Linux * Kind regards Dieter |
