| After installing version 9.0 of Slack I notice I can't ftp localhost ( or the actual name of the machine). I checked srvices and it's in there, I checked inetd.conf and it's in there, inetd is starting up ok, I don't have a firewall on this machine (I'm behind another), I checked all the ftp.. files in etc and they are all ok, I even started ftpd from the command line and I still get the error: Service not available, remote server has closed connection. So what am I forgetting? (^: |

(^: Is the program actaually installed. (: As a point of interest, Pat has just issued a couple of security bulletins relating to both wu-ftpd and proftpd. You should upgrade whichever you use.
