| Hi. I have a question about glibc and headers. I have recently installed slackware 9.1, and i choose to install _all_ development tools except for fortran and pascal support. When we tried to compile a program it could not compile because of missing header files. ( according to my friend ). We checked for files like stdio.h and alike. We was told those should be in /user/include. But they are not. We found it here : /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.2.3/include/stdio.h Could this be that the glibc package is installed wrong ? Thanks in advance. |

You are aware, of course, that glibc is located in the l (library) and not in the d (development) diskset? Install that package. - -- George Georgakis - geeg AT tripleg net au - http://www.tripleg.net.au/ SlackBuild Central - http://slackpack.tripleg.net.au/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGPfreeware 6.5.8 for non-commercial use <http://www.pgp.com> iQA/AwUBP5kpjElp3nJf7PixEQKFiwCgv+YCVQeP/C0wKShnYWMqpEACf54AoNE9 s3cLUugLqy6cttR6A942rYwu =1r4P -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

| Hi. Yes we found out by now, that even when installing all development tools, the header files are not installed, and this must then be done manually. Thanks.
