| I was sitting, wondering if I should look into running samba "wide- open," as it were, such that machine names aren't needed. And then I remembered the time before where I just typed "ftp://thunderbird" in the address bar in IE and it looks just like another folder in Windows Explorer. I'm done. :-) So I made a user "user" on Thunderbird, and have declared it "The Server." The PHB's new $1800.00 puter came in today, and I got as far as letting windoze update do its thing (38 critical updates since SP3!). But earlier, when I asked him what he wanted to name it, he first seemed a little discombobulated. Or maybe just confused. Anyway, he settled on "boogeyman." I thought that was kinda cute. So tomorrow, when I show him tcpdump, I'm going to ask for more money. :-) That's covered under the gnu license, right? I can resell the skills that I got for free? Cheers! Rich |
