I had this happen on my slamd64 box, after updating to -current on 8/17/2006. Fred Emmott's changelog had something like the following: - - Rebuilt pango with xft support - Thanks to Matt Hayes http://bugs.slamd64.com/show_bug.cgi?id=70 According to slackware-current's changelog, pango hasn't been updated since 5/27/2006, so I don't think PV has updated it for xft support. you'll either need to request he update it, or roll your own pango. Firefox has gone down as well with same complaint.. If others are not complaining, must me a problem with this machine, some error I made. Ta, anyway.
