I had this happen on my slamd64 box, after updating to -current on 8/17/2006. Fred Emmott's changelog had something like the following: - - Rebuilt pango with xft support - Thanks to Matt Hayes http://bugs.slamd64.com/show_bug.cgi?id=70 According to slackware-current's changelog, pango hasn't been updated since 5/27/2006, so I don't think PV has updated it for xft support. you'll either need to request he update it, or roll your own pango.
