| Anyone know how/where to get a calendar that shows US holidays? I'm terribly forgetful and need one for my KDE desktop. I see korganizer has an import function but have no idea where do get something to import. TIA PS: Searched Freshmeat and Sourceforge and didn't see anything that looked like what I need. Maybe I missed something? -- Linux Help: http://rsgibson.com/linux.htm Email - rsgibson@verizon.borg Replace borg with net |

Been that way for 13 years and won't change now so no need to pitch it to me. -- Linux Help: http://rsgibson.com/linux.htm Email - rsgibson@verizon.borg Replace borg with net |

It's late but I will search it thoroughly tomorrow. Even if I don't find what I want it's a handy link. With KOrganizer I choose the Settings menu and "Configure Plugins". I make sure that "Holiday plugin for Calendars" are checked and select it and press Configure. Then I am able to select country. You probably have a newer KOrganizer than I have, but I would guess that this feature has not been removed. regards Henrik -- The address in the header is only to prevent spam. I thought it used to be in there but alas, it's been removed -- Linux Help: http://rsgibson.com/linux.htm Email - rsgibson@verizon.borg Replace borg with net |

Assuming you're using KOrganizer 3.5.3, which came with KDE 3.5.4, which came with Slackware 11.0, try selecting Settings|Configure KOrganizer from the menu and click on Time & Date on the left. Does the second line, right below "Timezone:", say "Use holiday region:"? -- Chick Tower For e-mail: aols . sent . towerboy AT xoxy . net |

It seems my years avoiding M$ products has stunted my mousing abilities :-) BTW, I'm still using Slack 10.2 so the same applies for anyone googling out there on this issue. I really need to get to work finishing my 11 install (on a test partition). BTW, kalarm is a great reminder system. Takes a bit to figure how to set it up but every appointment I have goes into it. Korganizer appears to be able to do the same but kalarm is quick and easy. -- Linux Help: http://rsgibson.com/linux.htm Email - rsgibson@verizon.borg Replace borg with net |

Maybe I missed something? For any app that can use/import ical, you can look here : http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/holidays.html I haven't really used korganizer, but I think it can import ics/ical files. -- - Matt - |
