Would www.gware.org have some hints.

There are enough pieces in that puzzle that the compile time might be
the same as a gentoo install. My thanks to the gware project for

A friend asked me for the size of the Linux kernel for comparison. I did
some quick statistics and counted about 6.8 million lines in all .c, .h,
..S files in the 2.6.16 source tree.
