| -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I have successfully installed Slackware 9.1 on VMware 4, however I am having the following problem installing VMware Tools for the virtual machine, it is asking for the directory containing the rc0.d/ to rc6.d/ directories. Any suggestions on how I can work around this problem, and get the VMware Tools to work with Slack's BSD style of init scripts? TIA for any help - -- [ Shane Mitchell -:- fragile /at/ skynet \dot\ ie -:- ICQ: 277303018 ] A: No. Q: Is top-posting okay? -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (MingW32) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFAGnV8Msyd631mEAoRApVlAJ9V8ANjgIBQ2XiBpBB7CA R0XMEqhACfR2HN Xiha54yTBky7JjUWT/FjJE4= =7+4F -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Install the sysvinit package and create those dirs yourself under /etc/rc.d: The rc.sysvinit will do the System V init style of rc scripts, IF dirs do exist and contain S* cq K* script (cq links to scripts). -- ************************************************** ****************** ** Eef Hartman, Delft University of Technology, dept.
