Does google not work for you? Look at the third hit for "ipod linux". (Don't look at the second, which is about installing linux onto an iPod.) --keith -- kkeller-usenet@wombat.san-francisco.ca.us (try just my userid to email me) AOLSFAQ=http://wombat.san-francisco.ca.us/cgi-bin/fom see X- headers for PGP signature information |

I pulled it out of the box and plugged it into my slackware laptop. It has never been exposed to a Mac, Windows, or the software it came with in the box. I strongly recommend gtkpod it works great. > My Rio Carbon shows up as a usb drive. Although I tend to use the USB2 port as my laptop only has a 4-pin ieee-1394 port and I need a 6-pin port to enable the battery recharging. It recharges fine via the USB2 port.
