isdn and telephone

Hi

I have got isdn working on on a Hisax PCI card but now my ordinary telephone
fails with
Couldn't set tty to PPP discipline: Invalid argument
I have managed to get adsl, telephone and isdn in that order but I have just
switched to 2.4.21 I am now retracing my steps but suspect it is something
to do with adding isdn4linux stuff from the extra directory.
