But you can always report the problem to PV. On the other hand, I wonder, why KDE3.3 is still in /testing and causes so many problems (for me, it crashed occasionally and KDM sometimes hanged the whole system), while Slackware 10 packages from kde.org work flawlessly. Please, do not top-post. KDE3.3 is stable (or at least KDE developers say so package, prepared by PV, is not stable for now. Regards, jkb -- Jacek K. If you're able to produce better packages (and a "better" environment for KDE) then Patrick himself, yes. Are you? |

The better way is to think about what your situation is, then come back and post here _without_ top-posting. Thank you. And for the record either one will work. FWIW, I picked it up here, and it's been working fine, AFAIK. ftp://ftp.oregonstate.edu/pub/kde/st...Slackware/10.0 Any of the mirrors will probably do - the root is www.kde.org, and the link is "Kde 3.3 Released" or some such, takes you to a mirrors page, and then you'll have to look at your particular mirror to see if they have the Slack packages up yet. They should, it's been what seems like months. (Hm. Guess I could look. :-) ) The whole schmear installed flawlessly with installpkg *.tgz. Compiling it is a nightmare. =:-o (or was for me. I gave up, after wasting a whole weekend watching it compile, and then getting error messages when it's on the last couple of things. I feel really lucky that at that point somebody pointed out the link. :-) ) Have Fun! Rich |
