KDE Floppy Formatter output error "low level formatting error track 0"

I just happen to to show the verbose output from the kde application,
with any floppy formatter i recieve similar errors. I have tried
several floppy disks, tried diffrent floppy drives from boxes that are
known to work.
Even reading a floppy disk is not always a smooth ride.

I presume its a faulty floppy controller, if anyone could differ i
would be interested to know
